Regan Wilson is an operator and aviator and has been an initiated member of Local 793 since 1997. In that time, he has worked under Schedule A of the Provincial Collective Agreement as a concrete pump operator for Amherst Crane and Concrete. While an instructor at the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario, Regan was instrumental in the development of the concrete pump operator apprentice course. He provided significant input as a subject matter expert for the College of Trades exam for concrete pump operator. Regan was accepted by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Local 793, and the Coroner to be a subject matter expert for a coroner’s inquest into a concrete pump accident for a fallen member. Regan has served Local 793 in many capacities such as a steward, District 14 Oshawa chairman, and delegate for Toronto and Oshawa at the general membership meeting. He has also participated in Provincial Collective Agreement contract negotiations. Regan has six sons, and four of them are proud initiated third generation Local 793 members.
